"I feel that since my work has always been profoundly connected to music, I think that in the case of the guitar hopefully it will produce a chemical spiritual venture into the labyrinth of the soul."

The "Jackson Pollock" of Mexico and one of the world's greatest living painters, Leonardo Nierman first made his reputation abroad before achieving the recognition he deserved in his homeland. Awarded a prize by the Aquarelle Museum in 1964 which was followed up by a major exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in Mexico City in 1972, Nierman has now had many exhibitions of his work all over the world while enjoying representation from numerous museums worldwide. Drawing on both personal and collective influences, Nierman's works are rich kaleidoscopic abstracts combining cosmic landscapes, science, music and dream elements.
