Born and raised in the Midlands of England during the 1970s, keyboardist, Nick Rhodes, left school at 16 to form Duran Duran with long-time friend John Taylor. Within four years they had become one of the most influential and successful bands in the world.
Duran Duran fused pop music, art and fashion to an unprecedented degree and single-handedly changed the face of music television, taking video production to a whole new level. With classic, timeless pop songs, that combine rock guitars with infectious melodies and memorable lyrics, they tapped into the mood of the times and captured an army of adoring and loyal fans. 25 years later, those same fans are still committed to the band, but there is now also a new generation of followers, brought into the frame each time the band have a chart-topping release.
Rhodes' unique style has been a consistent influence on the imagery surrounding the group , as well as their signature sound. An acclaimed producer in his own right (The Dandy Warhols, Kajagoogoo, The Devils and Duran Duran), a prominent figure in the international art world, and a published photographer , Rhodes is a true 'Renaissance Man .
Nick Rhodes resides in London. Duran Duran are signed to Epic Records. Their next album is slated for release Spring 2007.
