Ronnie Wood was born in 1947 in West London to a creative family. Surrounded by his two current lifetime passions - music and art, Ronnie was taught to paint by his father, who was also an amateur musician. Ronnie’s first job was as a sign writer and he soon followed his brothers to art school. Beginning in skiffle bands, Ronnie started his first band while at Ealing Art College on lead guitar. Following brief spells in such bands as The Birds and The Creation, he joined The Jeff Beck Group in 1968, where he met Rod Stewart. They then went on to join the Small Faces - later The Faces - in late 1969 and enjoyed great success creatively. Ronnie joined the Rolling Stones in 1975 since when there have been countless record-breaking tours, new records and massive popularity. Art and music continue to be deeply intertwined and expressions of Ronnie’s creativity. His art ranges in style and subject matter from the abstract, to portraits and traditional landscapes all deeply reflective of his breadth of life experience.
